Professional Papers
Faculty and professionals at colleges and universities are encouraged to
submit papers in all areas of computer science. Areas of particular interest include
computer science education, undergraduate student research and projects, current topics,
and new curricula. All papers are double-blind reviewed by at least three independent
reviewers. Accepted papers are published in the Journal for Computing Sciences in
Colleges which is included in the ACM digital library.

Panels
A panel consists of two or more presenters,
who present varying perspectives on a topic.
The panelists are "practitioners" who would like to share ideas and views on a
specific topic. A panel may include audience participation.
Panels are usually 75 minutes long, and are held during one of the conference sessions.

Tutorials and Workshops
A tutorial is different from a panel in that it involves instruction
rather than discussion. Tutorials are usually 75 minutes long and may involve
hands-on training. Workshops are usually 2-3 hours in length and may be held
prior to the beginning of the conference or during the conference, depending upon
interest and need.
