Island University Expands Research, Teaching Capabilities with Tidal Hall Life Science Research Building

Expanding its mission of unparalleled commitment to every students’ success through high-impact teaching and research, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi officially opened its newest facility, Tidal Hall Life Science Research Building. The $60-million development supports the Island University’s fastest growing programs including environmental ecology, biomedical/genetics, marine genomics, fisheries & mariculture, and marine microbiology.

Islander Tribute Honors the Memory of Departed Students

During the ceremony, families were presented with a glass memento to honor their loved one. At the memorial site, departed students were commemorated by SGA and celebrated with a ukulele rendition of “Over the Rainbow.”

HRI: Baffin Bay Watershed Project Included in Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan

A watershed project aimed at improving the health of Baffin Bay is included in the state’s new 2019 Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan announced in March. The project is led by HRI Chair for Coastal Ecosystem Processes Dr. Mike Wetz of the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

The College Office is located in the Center for Instruction, Suite 350.  It is open from 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday.
