My primary interest lies in the nutrition of aquatic organisms. I currently am conducting research on nutrient essentiality, digestibility and the physiological ecology of aquatic organisms. I also have research projects associated with fish meal replacement in aquatic feeds, chemoattraction, sea urchin nutrition, and ecology of penaeid shrimp viruses. I have conducted research in depuration of oysters against Vibrio vulnificus.
