24-Hour OSHA/RCRA

Emergency Response Training

A Five Day Seminar

 

Class begins at 8:00 a.m. and adjourns at 5:00 p.m. each day.

 

The Course

This training course has been designed to fulfill the 24-hour Hazwoper training requirements for personnel engaged in emergency response actions at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites, major corrective actions at RCRA sites, and for all other personnel requiring training in accordance with OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.120(q).

 

Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion and a wallet card from the National Spill Control School, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

Field Exercises

Students will be actively involved in all of these exercises, including a Level A Dress out and Mock “Spill Response” on the last day of class.

Drum Patching/Plugging

Refilling Air Bottles

Initial Site Assessment

Use of Overpack Drums

Demonstration of Cleanup Materials

 

Additional Information

An examination will be given the last day of the course.
