CURRENT HAZMAT COURSE OFFERINGS

40-HOUR OSHA/RCRA HAZARDOUS WASTE OPERATIONS AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE (HAZWOPER): Don your SCBA and Level A Suit and cleanup a Hazmat spill in the lab, parking lot or along the bayshore. Non-site specific offsite training for personnel working Superfund sites, RCRA corrective actions and other activities as required by 29 CFR 1910.120 (e). Includes chemical and physical properties of hazardous substances, site characterization and control, safety plans, PPE, decontamination and hands-on exercises and activities.

24-HOUR OSHA/RCRA HAZARDOUS MATERIALS/WASTES MANAGEMENT AND SAFETY (HAZWOPER): Reports, record keeping and personnel safety. Training for personnel engaged in occasional activities at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites and or TSD facilities as required by 29 CFR 1910.120 (p). Includes waste sampling and analysis, waste handling, labeling, manifests and record keeping, container management, spill prevention and PPE.

24-HOUR OSHA/RCRA Emergency Response Training :This training course has been designed to fulfill the 24-hour Hazwoper training requirements for personnel engaged in emergency response actions at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites, major corrective actions at RCRA sites, and for all other personnel requiring training in accordance with OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.120(q).

8-HOUR OSHA/RCRA SUPERVISOR SAFETY (HAZWOPER): Take control of the situation. Non-site specific training for supervisory personnel on Superfund sites, RCRA corrective actions and other activities as required by 29 CFR 1910.120 (e)(4). Includes compliance inspections, environmental crimes and liabilities, enforcement, public relations and the media, and Incident Command.

8-HOUR OSHA/RCRA HAZARDOUS MATERIALS/WASTES SAFETY REFRESHER (HAZWOPER): Keep up to date on changes in the regulations and technology. Required training for attendees of previous OSHA/RCRA Safety training courses in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120 (e)(8). Includes an ever changing variety of topics on waste management issues, safety concerns, and recent regulatory developments in environmental protection and personnel safety.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TRANSPORTATION I - Initial Training: What's that stuff in that tanker truck driving down the highway next to you? Training required by the U.S. Department of Transportation and international standards includes the safe handling, packaging, labeling and shipping of hazardous materials.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TRANSPORTATION II - Recurrent Training: Keep up with changes in the regulations and hazmat transport issues. Required training update for "hazmat employees" in accordance with the DOT regulations in 49 CFR 172.704 (c)(2). Includes a review of emergency response procedures, Hazardous Materials Tables, record-keeping, HMR revisions and more.

CHEMISTRY OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS:Be careful what you mix together, it may "jump up and hurt you". Designed for emergency response personnel, this course reviews the physical/chemical properties of hazardous materials and their potential impact on human health and the envijronment.
