Research Summary

We have several projects in the graphics and visualization lab (sci.tamucc.edu/~pi) that could benefit from someone with artistic talent that would like to learn about animation. We have a facial animation system and we need someone to use the system to create example animations showing off the system. We also need help in processing data about speech and song.
If you are interested in creating computer models of geometry, creating computer animation, singing and its characteristics, speech (prosody), or even in language processing (conversational), then we have something that interest you. As a member of our team you will have access to very nice machines, a comfortable work space, and software (Maya) that can be very useful to learn.
We also have a system that simulates tree growth. We need someone that has artistic talent, and isn't afraid of technology, to use a system to create pretty pictures of these trees. The project involves learning how to use a rendering system to produce pretty pictures.
