John Fernandez Named 2008 Outstanding MAEStro by the Society of Mexican American Engineers & Scientists (MAES)

Due to Dr. Fernandez's contributions to the Hispanic community and MAES, the MAES Board of Directors and the Bravo Awards 2008 Selection Committee proudly announced Dr. John Fernandez's selection for the "Outstanding MAEStro Award 2008". The award will be presented on Friday, October 24, 2008, during the Medalla de Oro and Bravo Awards Gala Banquet, to be held in Las Vegas, NV at the Riviera Hotel & Casino.

MAES is planning to have a "yearbook page" in the program for this year's MAES International Symposium & Career Fair, which will include photos of all the selected MAES Bravo Award Honorees - including Dr. Fernandez.

Dr. Fernandez is Chair of the Department of Computing Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
