GISC Blucher Freshman Scholarships

$20,000 available to award annually.

Preference given to incoming freshman enrolled in the Geographic Information Sciences degree programs.  Any undergrad GISC major  may be considered if funds remain. Should have 3.0 GPA or better, but  waivers may be considered. Students may receive this scholarship only once.

$1000 available to award in FY09.  Undergraduate GISC major with Geomatics emphasis; must be sophomore or higher level; must be from the TSPS Chapter 12 area, which includes San Patricio, Nueces, Kleberg, Kenedy, Brooks, Jim Wells, and Aransas counties. Texas Surveyors Foundation, Inc. – (part of Texas Society of Professional Surveyors Foundation)

  Texas Residents only; enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in TAMUCC GISC program or surveying-related course of study. Financial need as well as scholastic achievement is a  factor in determining scholarship recipients Texas Society of Professional Surveyors Foundation  

Sept. 15 for Fall Semester – January 15th  for Spring semester, and May 1 for Summer Semester.

Nueces County Medical Society and Alliance Centennial Scholarship Endowment “Stephanie’s Song” Scholarship   Undergraduate or graduate single female student over 35 interested in cancer prevention and majoring in  Nursing, Premed, Biology, Chemistry,
Graduate of a Nueces Co. high school or a resident of Nueces County for more than 5 yrs.   Students may be full-time or part-time. Incoming freshman must be in the top 25% of high school class; all other students must maintain overall GPA of at least 3.0.
