Scenario Part 1: You have just arrived at a party where you donít know anyone. There are six groups of people already hanging out together. Read each of the descriptions of the groups of people (located below). Once you have done so, decide which group that you feel you have the most in common with or would enjoy spending time with the most. In a Word document, include your first choice and a brief statement explaining why you chose this group.
Scenario Part 2: Everyone in that group has decided to leave the party, but you are not ready to leave yet. Find the second group of people that you think you now have the most in common with or with whom you would enjoy spending time. In the same Word document, include your second choice and a brief statement explaining why you chose this group.
Scenario Part 3: This group decides to leave, too. Find the third group you think you now have the most in common with or with whom you would enjoy spending time. In the same Word document, include your third choice and a brief statement explaining why you chose this group.

These people have athletic or mechanical ability, prefer to work with objects, machines, tools, plants or animals, or to be outdoors. They like to work with their hands, focus on things in the physical world and use physical skills. They like to explore places and things and frequently have a desire for adventure.
These people like to observe, learn, investigate, analyze, evaluate or solve problems. They enjoy collecting and analyzing data and information. They are curious and tend to be creative and original. They are task oriented, and tend to prefer loosely structured situations with minimal rules or regulations, although some structure contributes to their creativity.
These people like to work with people who have artistic, innovating or intuitional abilities and like to work in unstructured situations using their imagination and creativity. They are the most creative of all the people at the party and tend to focus on self-expression through various forms/mediums: images, materials, music, words, movement, as well as systems and programs. They are able to see possibilities in various settings and are not afraid to experiment with their ideas. They like variety and tend to feel cramped in structured situations.
These people like to work with people to enlighten, inform, help, train, or heal them, or are skilled with words. They are concerned with people and their welfare. They make friends easily and tend to have well developed communications skills. They enjoy working with groups or individuals, using empathy and an ability to identify and solve problems, and tend to be high achievers and good leaders.
These people like to work with people, influencing, persuading, performing, leading or managing for organizational goals or economic gain. They are goal-oriented and want to see results. They work with and through people, providing leadership and delegating responsibilities for organizational and/or financial gain. These people tend to function with a high degree of energy. They prefer business settings, and often want social events to have a purpose beyond socializing.
These people like to work with data, have administrative or numerical ability, carry out tasks in detail or follow through on others' instructions. They are oriented to completing tasks initiated by others. They pay attention to detail, and prefer to work with data, particularly in the numerical, statistical, and record-keeping realm. They have a high sense of responsibility, follow the rules, and want to know precisely what is expected of them.
