Artist Lecture:

Jan. 26: Amy Stevens: ‘Confections’ Public Artists’ Lecture and Opening Reception: The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Department of Art presents “Amy Stevens: Confections” on Friday, Jan. 26, through Tuesday, March 6, at the Weil Gallery in the Center for the Arts. Taking a humorous, feminist approach to life’s struggles and the futile quests for perfection, this exhibition celebrates one of life’s big moments in the form of an obsessive investigation of the perfectly imperfect birthday cake. Stevens’ exhibition includes an artist’s lecture and opening reception on Friday, Jan. 26; both are free and open to the public.

    Artist’s Lecture: 5-6 p.m. in Bay Hall, room 104.
Opening Reception: 6-7:30 p.m. in the Weil Gallery, Center for the Arts.
