The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Assistant Vice President for Technology in Computing Center budget preparation.

'''E. APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:'''

The Department of Administrative Computing consists of students, faculty, and staff. Each user group is provided with access to computing resources necessary to do their work. General issues to be dealt with are the basic management functions related to assuring the optimal mix of equipment, supplies, personnel, and money necessary to provide timely services. General issues to be dealt with are the day-to-day tasks that ensure a minimal downtime in the repair and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals. This is accomplished through meeting the requirements of Dell Warranty Repair Services, and keeping in stock a variety of out of warranty parts. Additionally, software support requires a constant monitoring of trends, bugs, fixes, and updates. Peripheral support is reliant on working knowledge of the mechanics of printers, scanners, fax machines, and any other type of office equipment.

This authority includes the signature of requisitions for business office processing for capital and operational expenditures as well as travel and training expenditures.
