APA (American Psychological Association) is a type of documentation/manuscript type. For this class we will mostly be using it as a documentation style. What that means is that you will cite your sources in accordance to APA.

Here are some examples of what they might look like:

  • Book with one Author

Last Name, F. M. (Year). Title of book. City: Publisher.

  • Book with two Authors

Last Name, F. M. & Last Name, F. M. (Year). Title of book. City: Publisher.

  • Journal Article with DOI (Direct Object Identifier)

Last Name, F. M. (Year). Title of article. Title of Journal, volume number(issue number), pages. doi:xxx.xxxxx.xxx

  • Journal Article without DOI

Last Name, F.M., Last Name, F. M., & Last Name, F. M. (Year). Title of Article. Title of Journal, volume number(issue number), pages. Retrieved from (insert url).

  • Website

Last Name, F. M. (Year). Title of webpage. Retrieved from (insert url).

  • If the author for the webpage is not found, use the title in its place.
  • If there is no date given, use n.d. for no date.
