Assignments

August 27

  • Read the Syllabus, Taking an Online Course, and How to Become a Successful Online Student, and then post a response in the Discussion area on BlackBoard (which you can find at https://iol.tamucc.edu/), stating that you have read and understand the syllabus and the requirements for taking this course. Also post any questions you have about the class and/or syllabus in the Updates link found in the Discussion Forum in Blackboard.
  • Review my Contact Info and Office Hours info and please note that office hours for Monday will be online only. Please send individual emails using the Blackboard system. These are routed to my TAMUCC email but coming from Blackboard they are labeled in such a way that I can easily identify that they are coming from students. If you email me directly at susan.garza@tamucc.edu I will still respond but your email is more likely to get lost with all the other stuff that comes through my inbox.
  • In order to familiarize yourself with the layout of the course, go to Blackboard and make sure that you click on all of the following links and review the information found in each one:
    • Syllabus
    • Schedule
    • Discussion Forum
    • Updates link found in the Discussion Forum
    • Content
  • Grades will be posted in Blackboard under the My Grades link so you should familiarize yourself with how the grade reporting works so that you can keep track of your progress throughout the course.
