To go along with what you learn/have learned related to writing, this extra credit option calls for you to create a personal website that would serve as a way to gather the work you do as a writer, and also to introduce your writing skills for possible employment. Here is a great example produced by one of my former students, Rene Zamora. (Many thanks Rene!)
As you can see, the main purpose of the site is to highlight writing projects that you have done. Your site does not have to be exactly like the sample. Use it as a starting point and create a site that represents you and your work. And you don't have to use Wix to make the website. You can choose whatever platform you prefer.
- The resume must be a functional resume. No points will be given for traditional/generic/chronological resumes. Resume must focus on one job/job area. The resume must be focused to represent your goal.
- Writing projects must be included. These can be from any class you have taken, or from writing projects you have completed as part of an internship or job.
The amount of credit given for this project will vary depending on the work produced.
