Exploratory and qualitative studies were employed to conduct a series of studies aimed at understanding the usefulness of web writing.Group One(n=11)comprised of technical and non technical users for qualitative study, and were evaluated for their approach of reading webbased articles for finding specific information and using hypertext links.Group 2(n=19) was designed to encourage reading text content from the preselected pages with variation in writing styles and content of the matter.Comparative analysis was employed in group 3(n=51),by altering the version of same article in different styles for promotional(control),objective, oriented and non promotional writing.
