Our model for the Argument Paper you will write for the second half of the course will be modeled after the arguments made on the tv show Deadliest Warrior. For each episode, an battle is created between two warriors, and then arguments are presented as to who would win the battle. To help you prepare to write your own similar argument, choose one of the full episodes that is available on the Deadliest Warrior website. View the entire episode and fill out the Argument Analysis rubric.
Then answer the following questions:
- What are the major sections of the video argument?
- What are the different types of experts/expert information that are being used to develop the video argument?
- What argument model is being used in each scene of the video argument?
- Which of the scenes from the video do you think provides the strongest argument? Tell why you picked that scene.
I would encourage you to watch the video at least twice, but you may want to watch it several times.
Post the answers to the questions in the Discussion area of Blackboard. You may include the answers in your post or attach a separate file. Make sure to let the reader know which episode you are analyzing.
