See, you guys thought I was joking when I said I just get busy and forget things unless I do them early. I almost forgot to post a white paper source for this week! So, my source this week is also the book I'm going to review. It's called Writing New Media: Theory and Applications for Expanding the Teaching of Composition by Anne Frances Wysocki et al. What I like about this book is that it gives some great theory behind why we should be integrating new media in literacy classrooms and, at the same time, it offers some examples of how these ideas can be put to use in practice. An interesting side note is the way that the authors continue to emphasize the many ways in which the instructor can learn from their students about more than just the nuts and bolts of using new media. It tied in nicely with what some of us have been talking about regarding the Miller text readings for this week.
