The National Science Teachers Association Student Chapter of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi was formed and nationally recognized as an organization on November 2000. The organization strives to provide members opportunities and additional development in science education to preservice teachers. Acitivities ranging from Science Fairs to Family Science Nights to Science conferences, NSTA TAMUCC Student Chapter is active on campus and in the community.

	"The purpose of this chapter is to promote the mission of NSTA, to acquaint preservice teachers of science with the support resources available from NSTA,to provide additional professional development in science education to preservice teachers and to acquaint preservice teachers of science with others like themselves at their university or college."
