Best Practices for Presentations

  • Some tips
  • Let's form your groups!
  • Examine the SLOs from your Traid C syllabi and respond to the following questions:
    • Which ones seem most relevant?
    • Are they effective?
    • What is their purpose?
    • Have we worked toward them in our LC courses? What evidence do you have of this?
    • In what ways can we strive to reach these goals (what can we do differently)?
    • Do you believe them valuable in developing your skills for the future? Why or why not?
  • The Big Idea:
    • Your Symposium Project asks you to define your own SLO for this semester and explain how you accomplished it through the Learning Community, Triad C!
    • Think back to your discussion post earlier this semester and how you value the humanities
    • Consider the skills you will need in the field defined by your major
    • Brainstorm some potential outcomes that you feel you've already worked toward!
  • We'll use these initial brainstorms to develop your projects moving forward.
    • Make sure you have the necessary info to be in touch with your team!
    • We'll do a lot of the work for this project in Seminar, but you'll want to spend time outside of class on this too, especially as we get near Symposium day!
