  • how certain discourses are accorded more power than others in our society.

We talked about the difference between primary and secondary discourse.

We explored the idea of discourse by looking the Airbnb ad. It presented a particular discourse that challenges traditional understandings of family, gender, sexuality, and love by focusing on gay, lesbian, and transgender couples.
