• Readings, short reflections about their own diversity
  • Discovery of "diversity" issues in scientific community, science research itself
  • Identify a university research lab/department that reflects some aspect of diversity
  • Proposal - find an opportunity that fits the individual (accepts/promotes their own diversity, whether that be in thought, race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • First half of semester restricted to magazine articles, reputable sources
  • Second half of semester will have each student look at one peer-reviewed article in their research area
  • Individualized projects (no groups!)
