Project Description: The objective of this project is to research different data mining techniques and the data mining process in order to implement a data mining approach to a real world database application. Data mining turns raw data into useful information and knowledge. The extracted knowledge will be used to describe the hidden regularity of data, to make predictions, or to help in decision-making. In this project the data was provided by the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness at Texas A&M Univeristy - Corpus Christi, Texas. The student enrollment data was analyzed to predict student retention.
