Author: Ming Lai
Project Title: Well-Logging Analysis System
Semester: Fall 2004
Committe Chair: Dr. Longzhuang Li
Committee Member 1: Dr. John Fernandez
Committee Member 2: Dr. Dulal Kar
Project Description: About 40% of the world's estimated hydrocarbon reserves are contained in complex lithology and complex-engineering conditions, such as low-resistivity/low-contrast shaly sand formations, igneous rocks, carbonate rocks, fractured mudstones, and gas/fresh water formations. Because of this, they are often either overlooked or evaluated as unproductive. Correct evaluation of complex lithology and complex-engineering conditions is a major concern in today's frontier exploration markets. The result of this project is the development of well-logging digital analysis system for Advanced Petroleum Recovery Solution Inc (APRS).
