Project Title: Design and Implementation of Web-Based Tool for Space Cooling Load Calculations

Project Description: There are vasrious algorithims and steps used in preforming HVAC(Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning) space cooling load calculations based on several Methods available. However, the basic concepts of heat transfer that must be understood by an engineer remain constant. Entry-level engineers are faced with the task of absorbing the large array of information associated with HVAC design and being able to put their newfound knowledge to use effectively. Thus, there is a need for a Web-based tool to provide basic concepts and establish relationships necessary to preform the procedures in determining the space cooling loads within a building. The goal of this project was to provide a step-by-step guide using interactive Web pages made available to all users via the company's Intranet as well as the Internet. Based on user input, the system interacts with a database to provide and determine the required information necessary to complete the calculations being preformed.
