|Project Description: ||Rendering realistic looking hair is one of the challenges faced in facial animation. This project aims at developing a hair style for an existing Talking Head system using the basic model of a hair styling system developed by Will Baker and Dr. Scott A. King. The hair styling system was developed to interactively model and style hair on an arbitrary surface using Texture maps. This project involves a detailed study of the hair-styling system, developing different hair styles, rendering the developed hair and integrating it with the 3D surface that forms the basis of the Talking head System. Hair rendering is achieved using vertex and fragment programs written for graphics hardware.
