|Project Description: ||Personal information consists of highly heterogeneous data with a mix of word
documents, pictures, music, address book entries, emails and so on. This information is
typically stored in various file formats scattered among local & network file systems and
on multiple machines like local desktop, network share and mail server. For the user to
manage and integrate all these heterogeneous collection of data a powerful and versatile
Personal Information Management system is needed.
iMeMex PDSMS system developed by a team in ETH aims to address this issue
by building a logical layer on the top of all these file format supporting applications that
can free users from low-level data management considerations. This project is first step
towards implementing and configuring the iMeMex PDSMS system. The author extends
its current functionality to support mapping with contacts from address book files stored
in VCF 3.0 format and emails from an Email client. As a test bed to evaluate authorís
work Enron email Dataset is used.
