Project Title: Implementation Of Prototype Network Early Warning Alarm System Applying Defense in Depth Approach
Semester: 2 2015
Committe Chair: Dr. Mario Garcia
Committee Member 1: Dr. David Thomas
Project Description: In today's internet environment, there is an enormous daily increase of network attacks. Network threat detection techniques are increasing constantly as well. However, the existing threat detection techniques are not effective enough to provide network security. Detecting attacks in early stages and providing security to the devices connected in the network, thereby improving the quality of the network, is the main objective of this paper. Network security early-warning has become a key technology for the construction of network security defense in the computer network. The data transferring over the network needs to be more secure. Many unknown attacks and threats may occur if the security of the network can be easily broken. Developing a secure defense model based upon the concept of an early warning system will be helpful for network security. Based on design principles and control mechanisms presented in the architecture section, an early warning system is designed.
